Empowering Smallholder Farmers, Building Climate Resilience
AGRIIP collaborates with African smallholder farmers to tackle climate challenges affecting crop production. By working closely with farmers and stakeholders, we gather firsthand data on bio-ecological barriers to African food security crops. Together with scientists, we develop sustainable agricultural practices that boost productivity and resilience in the face of the climate crisis.
Agri-Impact Fellowship
Advancing African Scientists, Revolutionizing Agriculture
Each year, 20 leading scientists from African research institutions (100 over five years) are selected to work alongside farmers, ensuring gender balance and inclusivity. Using data from our study of 3,000 smallholder farmers, they co-create scalable, context-specific solutions to address critical agricultural challenges, bridging science, farming, and policy for a climate-resilient future.

To ensure long-term impact, AGRIIP provides seed funding, mentorship, and strategic support, helping to scale innovations developed through the Fellowship. This approach empowers smallholder farmers and strengthens Africa’s food systems.
